This is a technical and professional position that involves analyzing documents, assisting customers with inquiries, and performing routine day-to-day functions of the Business Services Division. This position is located in the Springfield Field Office.
Job Functions and General Responsibilities:
Providing excellent customer service in the Business Services Division by reviewing, receiving, and processing various and increasingly complex business entity filings, UCC indexing and verifying, and other filings as assigned.
Utilizing a working knowledge of several different chapters of Missouri statutes as they relate to filings and assisting customers.
Using a computer and relevant software, including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and Business Services-specific filing software applications.
Conducting quality assurance tests to ensure digital images meet defined standards.
Preparing daily financial reports for the Central office.
Contacting customers for additional payment information.
Answering telephone inquiries and assisting walk-in customers with Notarizations, Apostille/Authentications, and other types of filings.
Conducting NAPS filings.
Providing technical support for online business filers and should have knowledge of various internet web browsers.
Interacting with state employees, officials of other agencies, and the general public.
Corresponding with customers through the unit email account in a timely manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent organization, self-motivation, and work prioritization skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
A working knowledge of Missouri law as it relates to the assigned work group.
Ability to follow directions and understand basic principles for legal service.
Ability to pay attention to detail, complete work tasks accurately and timely, and maintain an expected level of productivity in a moderately stressful environment.
Work independently with outstanding attendance, timeliness, and professionalism.
Ability to perform other work as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required, some college preferred.
Ability to qualify as a Missouri Notary is required
Experience in customer service or working with the public preferred.
Experience working in a fast-paced government office or organization preferred.
