Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director, handles all fiscal and business activities of the laboratory and community health divisions including budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and contracting.

Maintains an operational performance dashboard for the lab and community health.

Implements sound business policies and procedures.

Assures that laboratory and community health services are maintained in accordance with standards established by the Hospital, State, local and Federal authorities.

Responsible for all grant reporting.

Maintains all purchasing agreements, service contracts, and reference lab agreements.

Develop business plans, service line profit/loss statements, and tracks revenue for all reference lab and community health arrangements.

Understands and adheres to the Medical Center’s Code of Conduct.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.

Assesses gaps in policies and procedures and creates necessary policies and procedures to fill these gaps.

Familiar with the Medical Center’s Mission, Vision, and Values Statements.

Other Duties:

Performs other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the department and organization.

Position Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a physician office or hospital preferred.
  • Ability to make independent decisions about patient care.
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
  • Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
  • Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
  • Good communication skills
  • Neat, professional appearance

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Master's in business of healthcare administration preferred.

 Job Setting/Physical Demands:

  • Radiology Department; contact with staff, patients, regulatory agencies, vendors.
  • Mainly sedentary but mobility required.

Salary Commensurate with Experience with posted range: 

$65,000 to $75,000 annually
