St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a FIN Business Systems Analyst for our well-established OMB Department whose headquarters are located in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.

St. Johns County is implementing the Workday ERP system to enable reprocessing enterprise resource functions, workflows, and management within budget, procurement, finance and HCM. In addition, OMB will also be implementing a new Budget Development System that will be integrated with the Workday ERP.  This is an excellent opportunity to reshape business processes and implement a modern ERP system across a county organization. This position provides valuable knowledge and skills that will create a long-lasting impact across the agency and for the citizens within St. Johns County.

The FIN Business Systems Analyst will provide financial business and advanced technical work developing and administering the Workday ERP System and Budget Development System for financial processes, in addition to coordinating project teams and technical functions for system configuration, workflow, data, reporting, testing and support including standards, development and governance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently manage complex projects and initiatives from scoping to deployment.

  • Serve as the technical point of contact ensuring data integrity, system security and maintenance, system modifications, report writing, document maintenance, system audits and recommendations for process changes.

  • Lead system updates and upgrades, working with internal teams, departments, and vendors to test changes to ensure systems and processes are working as designed.

  • Partners with stakeholders to understand business needs and designs suitable system configurations to meet those needs.

  • Creates and maintains reporting capabilities and responds to information requests in line with department procedures.

  • Effectively communicate system and process changes across the organization.

  • Maintains proper change management documentation to meet the company’s standards and audit requirements.

  • Reviews the effectiveness and performance of system configurations and reports and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Designs test plans and participates in system testing.

  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring a smooth transition to new features and continuous optimization of system processes. Create and maintain end-user and internal training materials and SOP’s.

  • Maintains a full-time presence on the job.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities to thoroughly understand and perform the major duties of the position.

  • Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the major duties of the position to serve as a liaison between system stakeholders, interpreted as three or more years of experience with at least one (1) year of IT business systems analysis or similar experience.

  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills to serve others.

  • Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of design, structure, functions, and processes.

  • Knowledge of information systems and technology principles, practices, techniques, and methods.

  • Skill in the preparation of clear and precise administrative reports, particularly user tutorials, guides, and other training materials.

  • Skill in excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
