The In-N-Out Burger IT Business Systems team has an excellent opportunity for a Business Systems Administrator II located in the Irvine CA office.

This role is based full time in office.

The Business Systems Administrator II reports to the IT Business Systems Manager supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of critical business systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure systems meet organizational goals. Strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage system upgrades are essential.

A Bachelors degree in IT or related field and 3-5 years of experience is preferred, along with excellent communication and project management skills to engage both technical and non-technical teams.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure we operate and manage our business systems platforms and environments in adherence with our security policies by coordinating project activities and serving as liaison between vendors, project leaders, IT teams, and user groups.
  • Responsible for coordinating the review of quarterly release details to both project teams and internal resources.
  • Develop and maintain instance plans, schedule activities with vendor support, and communicate prod-to-test and test-to-test refreshes to all impacted stakeholders.
  • Manage user data permissions, access, and activity; define review and audit procedures, and execute them periodically to validate end user accounts, permissions, and access rights are valid and aligned to policy.
  • Research and respond to system administration issues and triage tickets with escalation teams.
  • Monitor and investigate system performance issues, identify and resolve root causes.
  • Document any and all changes made to both production and non-production environments, including updating design documentation, change control logs, tickets, and user facing materials.
  • Perform other work-related job duties as required.

  • Office Hours in Irvine CA: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Salary Pay Range: $102,585 - $123,500 annually

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study preferred.
  • Project Management or Business Systems Vendor Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business systems or project management.
  • Prior experience in cross-functional collaboration, vendor management, and digital transformation workstreams preferred.
  • Experience in working with the Identity and Access Management features within enterprise grade systems, such as creation of users, groups, policies, compartments, and Federation with identity providers.
  • Strong proficiency with project management platforms, e.g., Jira, Asana, Confluence.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture and project portfolio management tools, e.g., Service Now, PPM platforms.
  • Familiarity with IT governance and business analysis frameworks, e.g., PMI, TOGAF is preferred.
  • Proficiency with communication platforms, e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with the following tools: Computer, PC, Laptop, or iPad, Standard office equipment.

Work Location Details

In-N-Out Burger plans to bring its west coast headquarters team back together under one roof by the end of 2029. After maintaining two Southern California office locations for many years, the company will permanently close its Irvine office in 2029 and once again headquarter the companys western territory solely in Baldwin Park California, where the company was founded in 1948.

Newly hired Associates in Irvine will be eligible to participate in the group move to Tennessee with relocation assistance or work from our western headquarters in Baldwin Park CA upon its opening in 2029.
