Business Systems Analyst - 3635845

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Business Systems Analyst position! This is a 6-18 months contract and will be hybrid on site 4 days per week in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for complex projects, coordinating across multiple applications and business units to ensure successful implementation
• Serve as functional project lead and subject matter expert, facilitating meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document specifications, and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
• Develop comprehensive functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and scripts based on business requirements, ensuring thorough documentation and adherence to corporate technology standards
• Collaborate with business clients to analyze requested application changes related to enterprise-wide initiatives, regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, or system maintenance, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Coordinate and provide estimates for large-scale projects, managing timelines, project phases, and delivery milestones while monitoring scope to ensure projects stay on track
• Partner with vendors and technical teams to understand project functionality, participate in data mapping for system integrations, conversions, and acquisition-related projects
• Execute end-to-end testing activities, managing and verifying that changes and enhancements perform as required while working with cross-functional testing teams
• Monitor change requests and ensure efficient resolution of issues arising from testing or implementation, maintaining documentation and escalating risk-related issues to management as needed
• Manage post-implementation activities by gathering feedback, resolving issues, and conducting project debriefs to compare actual vs. planned timelines and financials
• Mentor less experienced staff by providing application training, research analysis guidance, and project methodology consultation

What You'll Need to Have:

• 6+ years of combined experience in business analysis, operational analytics, or systems analysis with demonstrated expertise in complex project execution
• Proven experience coordinating SIT and UAT testing efforts, preferably with commercial loan systems or enterprise financial applications
• Strong ability to write clear business requirements, functional specifications, and comprehensive test scripts/cases that translate business needs into technical deliverables
• Advanced proficiency with project management methodologies, including experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously and recognizing critical milestones
• Solid understanding of system integrations and interfacing applications, with the ability to coordinate between technical teams and business units effectively
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of management, facilitate meetings, and influence stakeholders across the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant software packages for documentation and analysis

Pay Range: $40-46/hr
