Job Description:
The client is seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to support enterprise application development and system enhancement initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, identifying solutions, and ensuring successful delivery of system improvements.
This role requires strong Medicaid Claims Processing experience along with expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, Azure DevOps, wireframing, Agile methodologies, and systems documentation. The candidate will collaborate with project managers, developers, architects, testers, and business users throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Analyze business requirements and operational processes to identify system enhancements and automation opportunities.
Gather, document, validate, and manage business and technical requirements.
Conduct detailed analysis of user needs, workflows, business processes, and system functionality.
Create use cases, user stories, wireframes, process flows, and functional specifications.
Review and evaluate existing computer systems and operational procedures.
Perform cost-benefit analysis and recommend alternative business and technical solutions.
Analyze and document data input/output requirements, reporting formats, and business rules.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful implementation of requirements.
Participate in testing, defect resolution, and user acceptance activities.
Provide project status updates and maintain project documentation.
Support compliance with development standards and organizational policies.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and process improvement initiatives.
Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews.
Assist with system design reviews and solution validation.
Maintain requirements traceability and documentation repositories.
Support implementation planning and post-deployment activities.
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with information architecture and technology standards.

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.

CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) preferred.
PMI-PBA preferred.
Agile/Scrum Certification preferred.

Hybrid Schedule: 3 Days Remote / 2 Days Onsite (Monday & Tuesday)
Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, Texas.

Contract extensions are possible based on project needs.
