Assyst is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support the client's business and technology initiatives by analyzing business objectives, evaluating system capabilities, and identifying solutions to improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, assess existing processes, and recommend system enhancements or automation opportunities. This role requires strong analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and implementation support skills to ensure effective system performance and continuous improvement.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational procedures, and system-related challenges.
  • Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve existing computer systems.
  • Gather, document, and validate user requirements, including input/output needs, reporting requirements, and system functionality expectations.
  • Develop detailed documentation outlining user requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop, modify, or enhance computer systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most effective approach.
  • Assess system capabilities, technical specifications, and scheduling constraints to determine the viability of requested system changes or enhancements.
  • Support the planning, scheduling, testing, installation, and implementation of system enhancements and new programs.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, analyze root causes, and coordinate resolution efforts to maintain system reliability and performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of system improvements.
  • Monitor system effectiveness and recommend continuous improvement opportunities aligned with business needs.

Required Skills:

  • Strong ability to analyze user requirements, business procedures, and operational challenges.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for process automation and system improvements.
  • Proficiency in documenting business requirements, program functions, and system specifications.
