DPP is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance market.
 
Work location: Partial onsite in Columbia, SC. (Onsite Tues., Wed., Thurs. and as needed)
Duration: 11 months
Terms: W2 contract to hire
Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance.
 
Position summary:
  • The Business Systems Analyst will support all development work efforts for this division.
  • Primarily responsible for defining and documenting system business requirements.
  • Works directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business.
  • Develops relationships.
  • Acts as an intermediary between stakeholders and IT/development teams to ensure technical deliverables align with business goals.
  • Collaborates with developers during implementation, reviews system designs, and sometimes assists with quality assurance (QA) and end-user training. 
Required technologies:
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
Nice to have:
  • Microsoft Visio
  • Microsoft SharePoint 
Minimum required work experience:
  • 2 years of IT business analysis experience. 
About the team:
  • The BSA team is responsible for capturing and defining all business requirements for the division’s applications. The team has 6 key performers, all responsible for capturing understanding for our customers.
  • Whether it’s new functionality or enhancements to the current system, or resolving a defect, the team is responsible for translating that into requirements the developers can use to deliver the resolution.
  • The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, is adaptable to a fast-paced environment, works with minimal supervision, and is able to learn quickly and analyze the data. 
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 6 years without a degree)
