SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Business Systems Analyst I for a hybrid opportunity for candidates in Columbia, SC. Candidate will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support application development and system enhancements. The candidate will collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions align with business objectives while supporting multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications of the Business Systems Analyst I:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; four (4) years of related professional experience; or an Associate's degree with two (2) years of additional relevant experience.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, IT Business Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, analyzing, and managing business and functional requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Experience creating business requirements documentation, process flows, and related project artifacts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience of the Business Systems Analyst I:

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience supporting application development or software implementation projects.
  • Experience working closely with software development and quality assurance teams.
  • Experience facilitating requirements gathering workshops or stakeholder interviews.

Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst I:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for application development and system enhancement initiatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, identify business needs, and translate requirements into functional specifications.
  • Serve as the liaison between business users and technical teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support solution validation by reviewing designs, clarifying requirements, and participating in testing activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, business process flows, and requirements artifacts while supporting multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to the successful delivery of technology solutions.

Work Location: Hybrid schedule with onsite work required Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with additional onsite support as business needs require in Columbia, SC.
