CTG is seeking to fill a Business Systems Analyst IV opening for our client. This role is ideal for an experienced business systems analyst with strong requirements gathering, testing coordination, and project leadership experience. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to deliver complex application enhancements, regulatory initiatives, and enterprise-wide projects.

 

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex to complex business and technology projects from requirements gathering through implementation and post-production support.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Develop functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
  • Coordinate and manage SIT and UAT testing activities, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors to define and implement solutions.
  • Participate in system design discussions and provide recommendations to improve business processes and user experience.
  • Create project estimates, timelines, and implementation plans.
  • Support data mapping, system integration, conversion, acquisition, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Monitor project scope, requirements, and change requests to ensure compliance with business and regulatory standards.
  • Identify, document, escalate, and resolve testing and implementation issues.
  • Coordinate post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement activities.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on business analysis and testing methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of combined higher education and/or business analysis, operational analysis, or systems analysis experience.
  • Experience coordinating System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Strong ability to write business requirements, functional specifications, and test scripts/cases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience supporting collateral servicing or banking-related systems.
  • Knowledge of application integrations and enterprise application environments.
  • Experience supporting regulatory, conversion, acquisition, or enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding of application development methodologies and technology platforms.
  • Ability to effectively present information to stakeholders and management.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience serving as a subject matter expert for supported applications and business processes.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
