About GlyCare

GlyCare is a growing medical group specializing in consultative inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. We partner with hospitals and health systems across multiple states to deliver dedicated inpatient diabetes management services through GlyCare-employed Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.

Position Overview

GlyCare is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to strengthen and optimize the systems, data, reporting, automation, workflows, and content-management processes that support our growing organization. The Business Systems Analyst will partner with GlyCare departments to identify business needs, document requirements, improve workflows, standardize data and reporting processes, and implement technology-enabled solutions that support operational performance and scalability.

This position will also support the technical and data-related components of hospital onboarding and implementation. The analyst will coordinate with facility IT, analytics, and clinical informatics teams to communicate GlyCare requirements, validate data extracts and reports, track technical dependencies, and resolve issues that could affect a successful hospital launch.

The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis and process-improvement skills with healthcare operations knowledge, EHR experience, data-quality discipline, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Business Systems and Process Improvement

  • Partner with GlyCare departments to understand business and operational needs, identify system or process gaps, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, define, and document business, functional, system, data, and reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear specifications, workflows, process maps, data definitions, and implementation plans.
  • Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, scalability, data quality, and user experience.
  • Standardize and improve data-collection, validation, reporting, and documentation processes.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance operational reports, dashboards, metrics, and performance-monitoring tools.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive administrative, reporting, and data-management activities.
  • Coordinate system configuration, testing, validation, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Support data movement and integrations between internal applications, platforms, vendors, and reporting tools.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, system issues, and workflow failures and coordinate resolution with internal teams, developers, and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, including process maps, requirements, procedures, data dictionaries, user guides, and training materials.
  • Support enterprise content management and document governance, including file organization, version control, access permissions, standardized templates, retention, and document lifecycle practices.
  • Monitor system and reporting performance and recommend improvements based on organizational growth, user feedback, and evolving business needs.
  • Train and support users on new systems, dashboards, automated workflows, reporting tools, and process changes.
  • Serve as a liaison among GlyCare operations, clinical leadership, revenue cycle, technology vendors, developers, analytics partners, and other technical resources.

Hospital Onboarding and Technical Implementation

  • Support the technical, data, reporting, and workflow components of new hospital implementations and facility onboarding.
  • Communicate GlyCare’s program, system, data, reporting, connectivity, access, and secure file-transfer requirements to hospital stakeholders.
  • Directly communicate with facility IT teams requirements and deliverables related to data extracts, reports, interfaces, secure file transfers, system access, and other technical dependencies.
  • Review file specifications, data layouts, naming conventions, delivery schedules, field definitions, transmission requirements, and validation criteria with facility teams.
  • Validate hospital data extracts, reports, and files for accuracy, completeness, formatting, timeliness, and alignment with approved requirements.
  • Maintain implementation trackers for requirements, decisions, dependencies, milestones, testing activities, risks, issues, and outstanding deliverables.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and verify that approved data feeds, reports, system access, and workflows are functioning as intended before launch.
  • Identify and help resolve data, technology, reporting, connectivity, or workflow issues that could delay or affect a hospital go-live.
  • Support post-launch monitoring, issue resolution, and stabilization of hospital data feeds, reports, and related workflows.
  • Coordinate with GlyCare operations, clinical leadership, revenue cycle, analytics, and other departments to ensure hospital implementation requirements are complete and aligned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • At least three years of experience in business systems analysis, healthcare business analysis, process improvement, system implementation, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Experience working within healthcare operations or supporting clinical, administrative, IT, analytics, or informatics stakeholders.
  • Experience working with electronic health record systems and hospital teams on data extracts, reports, workflows, testing, system access, or issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, document, and communicate business, functional, data, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with workflow analysis, process mapping, system testing, data validation, issue tracking, and user acceptance testing.
  • Working knowledge of operational reporting, dashboards, metrics, data quality, and performance monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate between technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project-coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a growing, multi-site healthcare organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting inpatient care, hospital-based medical groups, diabetes management, glycemic management, or other clinical service-line operations.
  • Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, workflow automation platforms, ticketing systems, or project-management tools.
  • Experience with data extracts, flat files, secure file-transfer processes, system interfaces, or healthcare data integrations.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA, healthcare data privacy, information security, audit readiness, data governance, and document-retention practices.
  • Experience supporting vendor evaluations, software selection, system implementations, integrations, or enterprise content-management solutions.
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project-delivery environments.
