Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support enterprise technology initiatives by bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, systems analysis, software implementation, application support, process improvement, and requirements management.
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting functional requirements, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions. Candidates with experience in healthcare IT environments, software implementation, and enterprise application support are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Systems Analysis
  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend system improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Create workflow diagrams, process maps, use cases, and business requirement documents (BRDs).
  • Obtain stakeholder approval and sign-off on business and functional specifications.
Product & Application Support
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and third-party vendors throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support enterprise software implementation, integration, enhancement, and production support initiatives.
  • Assist with troubleshooting application issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating timely resolution.
  • Ensure application functionality aligns with business requirements and organizational standards.
  • Participate in software testing, validation, and deployment activities.
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with project managers to support project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Manage change requests and ensure project timelines are maintained.
  • Prepare weekly status reports detailing project progress, issues, risks, and resource needs.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
Documentation & Communication
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including:
    • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)
    • Functional Specifications
    • Technical Documentation
    • Test Plans
    • User Guides
    • Process Documentation
  • Deliver presentations to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Business Analyst.

  • Experience with software testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments.
  • Practical scripting knowledge using PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting healthcare IT systems or clinical applications.
  • Experience providing remote and onsite application support.
  • Familiarity with networking, security, and enterprise infrastructure concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project environments.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Education
