What you'll do:

As a key business systems analyst within the Business Operations Center of Excellence team, this position will work closely with After Market Services, Customer Operations, Logistics, Planning, Procurement, Asset Management, Manufacturing, Finance and IT functions to roll out solutions that will support the customer operations, order fulfillment and logistics functions. Candidates must understand the value of technology in supply chain to improve process, efficiency, and effectiveness.

The day-to-day:

The successful candidate will bring a wealth of process and systems experience and be able to quickly understand the specific business needs of Viasat.

  • Evaluate systems deployed in the existing footprint relative to customer operations, fulfillment and logistics as well as integrations with other systems
  • Lead fit/gap analysis in current process and the accuracy and availability of master data to support relevant process
  • Provide business leaders with clear awareness of current state process and system capabilities
  • Utilize best practices and prior experience to lead the future systems implementation and rollout phases of systems and reporting tools
  • Communicate with peers and supervisors regularly, document work, meetings, and decisions
  • Support the global process owner for creating transformation roadmaps, resource management, key design decisions, and change request prioritization
  • Support the continuous evaluation of use cases, business requirements, business capability models, and system best practices to enable process and technology transformation
  • Work with functional subject matter experts and process leads to facilitate functional and technical specification documentation and approval
  • Support process managers and IT during the development and delivery of custom objects
  • Stay current on business system technologies relevant to supply chain
What you'll need:
  • 10+ years of experience in a lead business systems analyst role
  • Working knowledge in one of more top-tier enterprise resource planning (ERP) such as SAP / Oracle
  • Experience in analyzing requirements and performing gap analysis and solution design for improving operations processes
  • Understanding of Master Data requirements to support the customer operations, fulfillment and logistics functions
  • Understanding of the dependencies and integrations with other operations and finance functions of the enterprise
  • Understanding of data requirements gathering and ability to translate use cases and business requirements from stakeholders to a technical solutions development team
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and effectively engage with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Change management skills and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies
  • Adept at understanding and translating physical and transactional flows into technical requirements and design
  • High analytical aptitude capable of interpreting data to identify trends
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining an organized and systematic approach to task completion
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, supply chain, or related degree. May substitute applicable equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • US Citizenship required
  • Up to 10% travel

  • Expertise in implementation and support of ERP and CRM systems in a telecommunication / high tech / semiconductor domain
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytical tools
  • Work experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management environments, and experience with Jira software
Salary range: $157,000.00 - $248,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $195,500.00- $293,500.00/ annually  : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
