Description:
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping how the organization defines, measures, and acts on IT performance. You will partner with business and IT managers to develop complex technology concepts into meaningful, data-driven insights driving the evolution of metrics, dashboards, and reporting that inform senior leadership decision-making.

This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can partner across business and technology teams to develop clear, actionable metrics and ensure data is trusted, relevant, and aligned to strategic outcomes.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
" Metrics Strategy & Development
o Drive the IT Governance Metrics Refresh and continuous improvement of IT metrics, KPIs, and reports
o Act as the senior business systems analyst on the first version of the IT Balanced Scorecard
o Analyze historical data to recommend and refine metric targets and thresholds
o Challenge metric owners to improve rigor, accuracy, and business relevance and automation
o Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced data analysis
" Requirements & Delivery
o Gather, define, and document business and technical requirements for data engineers and Power BI developers for both the IT Governance Metrics Dashboard and IT Balanced Scorecard.
o Collaborate with the development team to implement enhancements to the IT Governance Metrics Dashboard and IT Balanced Scorecard
o Translate IT concepts into clear metric definitions and reporting requirements
o Partner with database engineers to understand data models, tables, and relationships
o Ensure requirements are traceable, testable, and aligned to business objectives
" Data Analysis & Reporting
o Perform deep data analysis using advanced Excel and SQL to generate insights
o Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across reporting layers
o Test Power BI dashboards against requirements and expected outputs
o Develop executive-ready presentations summarizing insights and recommendations
" Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement
o Lead and facilitate metric review sessions and working groups
o Drive discussions to define meaningful metrics aligned to IT processes and outcomes
o Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
o Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
" Delivery Execution & Governance
o Manage and track work through JIRA and Agile practices
o Ensure strong organization and documentation of requirements, decisions, and outputs
o Support governance processes by ensuring transparency and consistency of metrics
o Contribute to a data-driven culture across the organization

Qualifications:
" Minimum of 6 years of related experience
" Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:
" Strong expertise in:
o Data analysis, metrics development, and trend analysis
o Advanced Excel (modeling, analysis) and SQL querying
o PowerPoint (executive storytelling and visualization)
" Proven ability to:
o Translate complex IT concepts into meaningful metrics and insights
o Write detailed, high-quality requirements for technical teams
o Facilitate discussions and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
o Analyze data and propose actionable improvements to metrics and performance
" Experience with:
o Power BI dashboard validation and testing
o Data models and database structures
o Agile delivery and tools such as JIRA
" Core competencies:
