Business Systems Analyst - TS 
 
Xcelerate Solutions is currently seeking a Business System Analyst. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a pivotal role supporting our federal client as our team designs, architects, and implements a secure Application Development Environment (ADV) purpose‑built to accelerate a large‑scale SAFe transformation. This environment will integrate automated security controls directly into the Continuous Delivery Pipeline, enhance developer autonomy and productivity, and enable a scalable Zero Trust architecture—empowering distributed teams without compromising the Lean‑Agile mindset. Your work will directly influence how mission‑critical software is built, secured, and delivered across the enterprise. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs—from prioritization and concept development through user story creation and delivery support.
  • Facilitate business‑focused requirements gathering to help Product Owners and product teams define, refine, and maintain a clear, actionable backlog.
  • Ensure user needs, usability, and user experience considerations are central to requirements development, driving adoption and engagement.
  • Identify core business needs and translate them into concepts of operation, story maps, briefings, and well‑structured user stories.
  • Document business rules, workflows, and process diagrams to support system design and development.
  • Provide expert consultation on complex initiatives, evaluating the business implications of new technologies and their alignment with current and future mission environments.
  • Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and cross‑team coordination within a SAFe Agile environment.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, security engineers, architects, and mission stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood, testable, and aligned with enterprise objectives.
  • Contribute to change management, stakeholder communication, and adoption strategies for new tools, processes, and capabilities.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), validation of delivered functionality, and readiness assessments for deployment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience operating Azure Developer Server (ADS) and Jira.
  • Experience operating in a SAFe or similar scaled Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to decompose complex problems into actionable components.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
  • Ability to work on‑site full time and collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current SAFe Agile Product Management or ICAgile Product Management Certification.
  • Experience supporting secure software development environments or DevSecOps initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust principles, CI/CD pipelines, or secure developer tooling.
  • Experience supporting federal systems, mission stakeholders, or enterprise‑scale modernization efforts.
  • Ability to create user journey maps, service blueprints, or other UX‑aligned artifacts.
  • Experience with business process modeling (BPMN), workflow automation, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
