Business Systems Analyst - Washington, DC (Remote)

Seeking for an Business Systems Analyst to support business analysis, requirements management, project oversight, system testing, data analysis, and technical documentation activities. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, development teams, QA teams, and project leadership to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and system requirements.
• Analyze business processes and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents.
• Review and support Technical Requirement Documents (TRD).
• Develop and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM) and other lifecycle documentation.
• Manage requirements using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, VersionOne, and ALM.
• Provide project management and project oversight throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Coordinate activities across business, development, QA, and project teams.
• Support projects utilizing Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Support Customer Acceptance Testing (CAT), including test-script development and execution.
• Perform or coordinate production validation through smoke and functional testing.
• Document testing outcomes and maintain supporting test artifacts.
• Support automated test-script development using tools such as UFT, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Perform data analysis and validation using Oracle SQL, Teradata, and related database technologies.
• Develop reports, analytics, metrics, and visualizations using tools such as MicroStrategy and Power BI.
• Maintain technical specifications, system documentation, and implementation guides.
• Develop performance metrics to track and report Customer Acceptance Testing status.
• Develop training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and user guides for impacted applications.
• Participate in industry meetings, technical forums, task groups, and user groups as required.
• Support compliance with established SDLC/TSLC processes and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in business systems analysis, technology, software development, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• Strong experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management.
• Experience with requirements-management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, VersionOne, and ALM.
• Experience with software testing tools such as UFT, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Experience with database and analytics technologies such as Oracle SQL, Teradata, and MicroStrategy.
• Experience using Microsoft O365 tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access, Visio, Teams, Workflow, and Power BI.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies; Technical Solution Lifecycle (TSLC) experience is valuable.
• Experience managing or leading IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
