Busser - Star Noodle

Star Noodle located on the ocean in Lahaina is on Front Street next door to its sister restaurant Aloha Mixed Plate. Star Noodle is an award-winning restaurant for over a decade offering fresh noodles, sake cocktails and Asian-inspired share plates. Star Noodle continues to be one of Maui's most popular eateries, as well as a great place to work with a fabulous view. We are seeking highly motivated and service-oriented staff to join our team! The ideal candidate for this position:

• Has experience working in customer service and/or the food service industry
• Can work a flexible schedule including:
  • Day Shifts
  • Evening Shifts
  • Weekend Shifts
  • Holiday Shifts
• Has a reputation for giving great service to guests and coworkers
• Is enthusiastic about sharing our exceptional service standards with our guests
• Can maintain a pleasant smile and demeanor throughout the shift
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time, is efficient and moves with the proper urgency required by the business
• Is self motivated, especially under pressure
• Communicates Aloha in person and over the phone
• Has good problem solving skills
• Is able to pass and practice the TiPS training course

Performance Expectations:

• Makes eye contact and greets guests with authentic enthusiasm each time they are in contact with a guest
• Treats customers and co-workers with courtesy and respect
• Answers the phone with a smile and takes to-go orders as needed
• Can lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Can communicate effectively to both customers and co-workers during busy periods
• Clears and cleans tables in an orderly, quiet and efficient fashion that meets our standard within 2 minutes as a consistent standard
• Restocks supplies and dishes throughout the shift
• Communicates to supervisors when help is needed to maintain customer service
• Is knowledgeable of the menu and able to answer guests questions
• Helps hostess seat guests as needed
• Helps food runner deliver food as needed
• Helps servers deliver beverages when available
• Positively responds to requests for assistance from co-workers and guests
• Takes initiative to help in any area of the restaurant when slow
