About the Role:

The Butcher/Prep Cook is a key member of the culinary team, responsible for preparing ingredients and processing meats to support efficient kitchen operations. This role combines hands-on food preparation with skilled meat cutting, including trimming, deboning, and portioning a variety of proteins, while also assisting with the preparation of vegetables, sauces, and stocks. The position ensures all ingredients meet high quality and safety standards, maintains organized and sanitary workstations, and supports inventory management and kitchen flow. This role is essential to delivering consistent, high-quality food in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What we need from you:
  • Experience in food preparation and butchery
  • Knowledge of knife skills and meat cutting techniques
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and safety procedures
  • Understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP)
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (40-60 lbs)
  • Food Handlers Certification
