A Butcher is responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, food safety, and customer service. Key responsibilities include processing various cuts of meat according to company specifications, operating and maintaining meat-cutting equipment, monitoring inventory levels, ensuring proper product rotation, and creating attractive displays for the meat department. Butchers assist customers with product selection, special orders, and preparation recommendations while ensuring all products are accurately labeled and priced. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to food safety regulations, and minimizing waste through efficient product handling. Successful candidates should possess strong knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques, attention to detail, reliability, and excellent customer service skills. The role requires physical stamina for standing, lifting, and working in refrigerated environments, as well as a commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.
