Description

Kforce has a client in Corvallis, OR that is looking to hire a Buyer I - Bin Stock and Spare Parts position. Overview: This person will be responsible for supporting site operations by managing the procurement, inventory, and replenishment of maintenance spare parts and consumable materials across multiple bin stock locations. This role combines purchasing responsibilities with hands-on inventory management to ensure critical maintenance supplies are readily available and accurately tracked. Working closely with Maintenance, Facilities, and Operations teams, the Buyer will monitor inventory levels, place purchase orders, receive and stock materials, and maintain accurate inventory records using procurement and inventory management systems. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory and replenishment for 11 bin stock locations across the site
  • Perform routine physical inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Monitor inventory usage and proactively purchase replacement materials to prevent stock shortages
  • Utilize company procurement tools (PME) to create, submit, and track purchase orders through delivery
  • Process purchasing transactions using a corporate P-Card in accordance with company policies
  • Receive, organize, label, and stock incoming materials in designated bin stock locations
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory management system
  • Other maintenance and production spare parts
  • Improve the organization and identification of inventory through accurate labeling, sizing, material descriptions, and barcode management
  • Perform routine procurement activities including purchase requests, order tracking, receiving, and inventory reconciliation

Requirements:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required
  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
  • Inventory management and cycle counting experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Comfortable working independently while supporting multiple internal customers
  • Ability to identify and organize maintenance spare parts and hardware
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, warehouse operations, maintenance storeroom, or supply chain support preferred
  • Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems is preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
