Job Summary

The role is based in Boise, ID, a city known for its vibrant culture, outdoor recreational activities, and a growing technology sector. The Buyer is responsible for managing suppliers, negotiating costs and lead times, filling purchase orders, collaborating with inventory management and other internal departments, forecasting sales, analyzing trends, monitoring sales performance, and identifying supply chain solutions.

General Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the supply chain manager to maintain proper inventory levels of regularly used materials.
  • Participate in filling purchase orders and organizing purchasing requisitions.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate and efficient monitoring system.
  • Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to keep supplier and vendor information up-to-date, track purchases and order status, and generate purchasing reports and statistics.
  • Analyze requirements and plan for capacity based on forecasts and "what if" scenarios.
  • Engage with suppliers and sub-suppliers for inventory management.
  • Support production or project requirements outside of standard working hours, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the manager.

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree (e.g., Bachelor's degree) or equivalent relevant work experience is required.
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Strong communication skills: oral, written, and presentation.
  • Strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve results.
  • Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity.
  • Holds self-accountable for achieving goals and standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including suppliers and/or external customers.
  • Experience in purchasing electronics, PCB, PCBA, and/or semiconductors is a plus.
  • Effective multi-tasking skills and flexibility.
  • Work with internal team members for supplier set-up.
  • Support engineering purchasing requirements.
  • Ensure POs are received in the correct organization.

Shift: 7am-3:30p
