JOIN MILWAUKEE ELECTRONICS – OVER 70 YEARS OF INNOVATION & EXCELLENCE

Milwaukee Electronics is a contract electronics manufacturer bringing innovations to life from prototype to production. Our mission is to Accelerate — expanding what's possible for our customers, our people, and our communities. We operate as One Team, Take Ownership, Seek to Serve, and Go Beyond.

About the Role

In contract electronics manufacturing, production doesn't stop — and neither does the need for the right materials at the right time. As a Buyer at Milwaukee Electronics, you'll be the critical link between our suppliers and our production floor, sourcing electronic components, fabricated materials, and indirect supplies across a high-mix manufacturing environment. You'll own supplier relationships, manage purchase orders end-to-end, and proactively solve the supply chain challenges that keep other people up at night.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, know your way around ERP systems, and have a knack for negotiation, this is a role where your expertise will have direct, visible impact.

What You'll Do

  • Procure electronic components, PCBA materials, fabricated parts, and indirect supplies
  • Create and manage purchase orders using ERP/MRP systems (Epicor preferred)
  • Monitor open orders and proactively mitigate shortages and delays before they impact production
  • Expedite materials to prevent production disruptions
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements
  • Develop and maintain strong, performance-focused supplier relationships
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve material issues
  • Maintain accurate pricing and lead time data in ERP
  • Support inventory optimization and supply chain improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate inbound logistics and resolve invoice discrepancies

What You Bring

Required:

  • 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent)
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis
  • Proven experience negotiating pricing and managing supplier performance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-controlled facility (U.S. Person status required)

Preferred:

  • Experience in high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing
  • Knowledge of electronic components and PCBA supply chains
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk mitigation strategies
