Procure materials, products, services, and/or equipment for an assigned department(s). Oversee ordering, receipt, and review of commodities from second and third-tier suppliers. Ensure compliance with company policy and any applicable laws and regulations.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or other related field and three (3) to seven (7) years of purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and purchasing experience.

  • Must have experience with and understanding business concepts, including knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control, resource allocation, coordination of resources, and other techniques for maximizing effectiveness and efficiencies.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing and inventory specific programs.

  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop, evaluate, and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Identifies and qualify suppliers and negotiate terms and contracts.

  • Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of materials, products, services, and/or equipment.

  • Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for discrepancies. Resolve defects and delivery problems with suppliers to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.

  • Maintains and tracks records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, and inventories.

  • Coordinates payment processing for all commodities purchased from suppliers.

  • Negotiates rebates with suppliers to ensure timely processing of claims.

  • Develops and implements strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements, and process efficiencies.

  • Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Participates in development of statements of work for equipment, products, and materials.

  • Manage multiple without having direct supervisory/ management responsibilities.

  • Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.

  • Some travel may be required.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
