Job Description

This position is responsible for performing raw materials inventory management planning as part of the procurement team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining optimal raw material inventory levels using MRP and lean inventory management tools
  • Placement, management, and entry of purchase orders, as well as communicating purchase order status with suppliers
  • Performing root cause analysis on delivery failures
  • Coordinating inventory transfers between facilities and customer expedite requests
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to accomplish plant business goals and objectives in terms of safety, quality, customer service, and cost and staff development
  • Collaborate with teams such as Customer Experience and Response, Operations Planning, Finance, Engineering, IT, Research, Development and Innovation, Logistics and other manufacturing facilities
  • Lead defined, medium-sized projects
  • Requires ability to define problems, collect data, analyze data, offer solutions, and implement improvements to achieve the desired results; Analyze and report inventory levels to plan, recommend and implement corrective action
  • Develop and implement effective processes for new product offerings/enhancements and ramp-up/ramp-down plans for product changes
  • Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe employee work habits, and maintain a respectful work environment

Qualifications

  • Requires a 4 year degree or 3-5 years equivalent experience
  • 5 years' experience working within purchasing preferred, or equivalent supply chain, and/or inventory management experience
  • Solid understanding of information systems that support supply chain and manufacturing operations(Oracle system preferred)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and databases
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Experience using and teaching lean tools and techniques such as 5S, 5 why, A3 thinking, pull/kanban systems, and kaizen preferred

Additional Information

The pay range for this full-time position is $65,000-$75,000 per year + medical, dental, and vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
