HumCap’s client is seeking a Buyer to join their team in Garland, TX. This role is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials to support manufacturing operations while ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source, evaluate, and purchase high-quality materials and components
  • Procure and schedule materials and services to meet production demands
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and supplier capabilities
  • Interpret technical documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Collaborate with engineering on prototypes and R&D initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders
  • Support team purchasing efforts to achieve optimal cost and quality
  • Analyze inventory and production needs to ensure supply continuity
  • Inspect materials and report quality issues to suppliers and management
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-7 years of purchasing or supply chain experience
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong negotiation and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Work Environment
  • Indoor production setting with moderate noise
  • Exposure to manufacturing equipment
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or crouching
  • Manual dexterity for handling materials and equipment
