Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to support purchasing and supply chain activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, and services; managing supplier relationships; and ensuring timely delivery of critical components to support production and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to balance quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service performance.
Create, issue, and manage purchase orders to support production and operational requirements.
Monitor open orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
Coordinate with production, planning, warehouse, quality, and finance teams to maintain material availability.
Track inventory levels and assist with demand planning and procurement forecasting.
Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, pricing, and contract documentation.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and service expectations.
Support supplier performance reviews and vendor compliance initiatives.
Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
1-3 years of purchasing, procurement, or buyer experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of import/export processes, Incoterms, and vendor compliance requirements.
Experience with international sourcing and global supply chain operations.
Understanding of material planning, inventory control, and forecasting.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and ethical sourcing practices.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $68,000.00 per year
