Buyer II Strategic Sourcing FT 1st Shift

Overview

Provides timely purchases of supplies and equipment from approved requisitions and sources; ensures proper documentation and audit trails are maintained; ensures prudent and ethical purchasing practices are followed.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree from an accredited college or university or will consider equivalent purchasing experience in healthcare or related environment in lieu of education.

Experience: Knowledge and experience involving hospital supplies and equipment strongly preferred. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Materials Management or related computer systems, preferably Lawson Software. General understanding of warehouse and distribution replenishment strongly preferred.

Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to work fast and accurately. Ability to provide strong customer service and support. Ability to manage heavy workload and change to meet urgent and emergency requirements. Strong mathematical aptitude, with effective analytical and communication skills, written and verbal.
