Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Position Summary

The Senior Buyer / Component Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient supply of components needed to support finished goods production. This role executes MRP-driven purchasing and planning activities, manages supplier coordination, maintains accurate ERP data, and proactively mitigates supply risks to support operational efficiency and on-time delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute MRP-driven purchasing and component planning to support finished goods production schedules
• Issue and manage purchase orders, monitor open orders, and coordinate delivery timing with suppliers and planners
• Proactively manage inventory levels, identify supply risks, and expedite materials to prevent production disruptions
• Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data (lead times, reorder points, safety stock) in ERP systems
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, fillers, sourcing, and quality teams to support on-time delivery

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, supply planning, or component planning within manufacturing or CPG environments
• Strong working knowledge of MRP systems and ERP platforms (ABAS preferred)
• Proven ability to manage supplier performance, inventory levels, and production support activities
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• APICS, CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or other related supply chain certifications preferred
