Job Objective: The Buyer supports purchasing operations by issuing timely, accurate purchase orders, monitoring shipments through receipt, and proactively communicating risks and changes. This role protects inventory accuracy, controls avoidable costs, and supports product availability through disciplined execution, clear communication, and reliable follow-through. Responsibilities: - Supports Senior Buyers as needed.
- Maintains and regularly updates status of pending purchase orders so timelines are clearly understood.
- Keeps Customer Service aware of issues that significantly impact a pending purchase order.
Tasks: - Tracks all pending Purchase Orders to assure all orders are on schedule and to update pending orders.
- Attaches order confirmation in P21 document links to every purchase order generated.
- Communicates with supplier to document confirmation via email or verbal of order and notes this on purchase order, if necessary.
- Communicates with vendors to assure the terms of the Purchase Order have been accepted and the orders are being filled as anticipated.
- Executes purchase orders within open to buy guidelines.
- Executes RMA requests with suppliers to return material.
- Maintains stock profile of each location as set by President and Director of Warehouse Operations Manager. Minimizes out of stock.
- Communicates to warehouses arrival of inbound shipments that will be arriving in the coming week.
- Attends weekly Purchasing Meeting with the Purchasing Manager to review anticipated orders, pending orders, open to buy issues, Principal Resource issues.
- Attends scheduled company-wide meetings and makes a positive contribution as requirements dictate.

Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and a minimum of 1 year of purchasing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office products (word, excel, outlook, etc.) required.
- Buyer experience preferred.
- Attention to detail.
- High degree of accuracy.
- ERP experience preferred.
