About the Opportunity
We are seeking a mid-level Buyer who will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components, and services required to support assembly and manufacturing operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring uninterrupted material flow, optimizing total cost, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and achieving supplier quality and delivery objectives.
The Buyer is responsible for the full purchasing cycle, including sourcing, RFQ development, supplier selection, negotiation, purchase order placement, supplier performance management, and resolution of material and commercial issues. The position works closely with Account Management, Engineering, Assembly Kitting, Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to ensure customer and production requirements are met.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and decision-making skills; understands manufacturing and MRP processes; and can independently manage priorities in a fast-paced production environment. Experience in aerospace, electronics, PCB, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
