As a Buyer with Hobart Parts & Service, you play a critical role in ensuring the right products are available at the right time and cost to support our business and customers. This role is not just about transactions — it’s about building strong supplier partnerships, applying analytical thinking to procurement decisions, and contributing to continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Builds and manages strong supplier relationships that ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
Uses negotiation skills to secure value while maintaining long-term partnerships.
Proactively identifies supplier risks and creates solutions to maintain supply chain continuity.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Uses data and ERP systems to forecast, monitor, and respond to purchasing needs.
Leverages market insights and cost analysis to identify opportunities for savings and efficiency.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain is beneficial but not required.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus).
Transferable skills such as negotiation, data analysis, vendor management, and project coordination are valued.
Professional certifications (e.g., CSCM) are a plus, but not required.
