Job Title: Buyer/Planner

Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM)
Shift: 1st Shift | Start Time: 7:30 AM

Role Overview

Responsible for daily supply chain operations, ensuring efficient material flow, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and supporting production schedules. This role focuses on identifying bottlenecks, improving processes, and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Operations

  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs
  • Monitor and respond to supply chain disruptions with effective solutions
  • Analyze market trends and supplier risks to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Place purchase orders and manage supplier relationships
  • Support contract negotiations, including pricing, delivery, and quality terms
  • Monitor supplier performance and mitigate potential risks

Planning & Systems Management

  • Utilize MRP/ERP systems to forecast demand and plan production schedules
  • Ensure material availability aligns with production targets
  • Support advanced planning activities, including product launches and process reviews

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet material specifications
  • Ensure compliance with supply chain policies and procedures

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in production planning, forecasting, inventory control, and supplier management
  • Knowledge of scheduling processes and material planning

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of production operations, quality procedures, and continuous improvement (LEAN)

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
