Buyer/Planner III

Description:
Job Purpose
Responsible for all aspects of materials, including planning, inventory, material control, and master schedule maintenance. Additionally, this position supports procurement and material control representation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Plans, schedules, and monitors materials through the production cycle to ensure proper inventory levels.
2. Responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies,s and equipment.
3. Locates sources for inventory and non-inventory items.
4. Interacts with suppliers for on-time delivery scheduling.
5. Works with multiple internal customers to facilitate corporate purchasing.
6. Responsible for professionally placing purchase orders for indirect (MRO, non-product) goods and services in support of business requirements.
7. Supports finance and accounting on cost collection and inventory management for the month-end process.
8. Works closely with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are being met.
9. Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC's Quality Policy, Quality System, and the appropriate regulations for the area supported.
10. Ensure employees are trained to do their work, and their training is documented.
11. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Quality Systems Duties and Responsibilities:
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

Qualifications
6 - 9 Years with BA 4 - 7 Years with MBA
Project management experience
Independant self starter
Ability to pick up SAP among other software

Additional Job Specific Requirements:
Experience using AI-powered tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or procurement AI platforms) to improve productivity and decision-making.
Apply Lean or Six Sigma principles to procurement processes.
Identify automation opportunities that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
Support digital transformation initiatives within Supply Chain.
