Buyer/Planner

What your future day will look like:

• Conduct procurement activities and materials/production planning for a manufacturing environment.
• Monitor/forecast raw material needs to ensure efficient production operations   
• Work cross-functionally with other departments along with participating in R&D projects and product life cycle
• Source new suppliers, issue RFPs/RFQs, and negotiate vendor pricing/terms
• Identify cost-saving opportunities by working with suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance, KPI's and perform value analysis
• Maintain accurate procurement records, data and other related information
• Monitor market trends including materials pricing and new technology within industry circles

Type: Direct Hire
To be a champion in this role, you will need:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or other related field is highly preferred
• 3+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment including materials and production planning.
• Prior experience working closely with suppliers (domestic/international) negotiating contracts including delivery times.
• Strong foundational knowledge of ERP/MRP Systems
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
