Your Role
Akkodis is seeking a Buyer for a Contract with a client in Plymouth, MN. The ideal candidate with experience supporting new product introduction initiatives through procurement, purchasing, and supplier coordination activities to ensure timely availability of materials and project success.
Rate Range: $28/hour to $30/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Buyer Job Responsibilities include:
Create, process, and manage purchase orders for direct and indirect materials in support of new product introduction (NPI) and product development activities.
Coordinate with engineering, planning, sourcing, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain project schedules.
Review purchase requisitions, supplier quotations, pricing, availability, and delivery commitments to support procurement decisions.
Manage supplier relationships and support procurement activities to ensure material availability, cost efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Track orders through completion, resolve invoicing issues, and maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
Support cross-functional NPI projects, inventory planning, and supply chain initiatives while contributing to continuous improvement efforts and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required; associate's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
1-2 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commodity Management, or a related role.
Experience processing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting procurement activities within an ERP environment (SAP preferred).
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills with the ability to support cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) projects in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
