Kforce is working with a client that is seeking a Buyer in Saint Louis, MO.

Summary: The client is looking for a procurement professional to support large-scale capital projects. This role focuses on sourcing capital equipment and services, driving cost savings through strategic sourcing, and partnering closely with engineering, operations, and procurement stakeholders. Candidates must live in the Greater Saint Louis, Missouri (MO) and work a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite/week).

Key Responsibilities:

• Support capital projects across all phases of the Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) lifecycle, from planning through close-out
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to maximize value for capital equipment, materials, and services
• Lead bid preparation, analysis, and supplier evaluations; Make recommendations on supplier selection and pricing agreements
• Negotiate and manage agreements for engineering services, equipment, and construction providers
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Safety, and Purchasing teams to ensure alignment and execution
• Track spend and ensure compliance with strategic procurement programs
• Manage preferred suppliers, monitor performance, and track cost savings
• Support plant-level purchasing teams as needed
• Participate in global sourcing initiatives and cross-functional procurement programs
• Build and maintain expertise across assigned indirect materials and services categories
