Position Summary

This position works within the Service Contracts team to manage vendor service contract negotiations for the Fab and the departments that provide direct support to Fab operations. It also manages annual service contract negotiations to include scope optimization, cost savings initiatives, and performance management. This role Collaborates with internal stakeholders including Fab Engineering, Innovation, and Samsung HQ Procurement, to ensure that customer needs are incorporated into all service contract scope negotiations. Additionally, it involves participation in setting strategy and the achievement of business goals in annual service contract agreement negotiations including selection of appropriate contract type, appropriate service level coverage, and service quality improvement.

Furthermore, the role requires coordination with Finance and Legal teams to fulfill established service contract objectives, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Negotiate service contracts according to deadlines and Samsung company goals, through direct negotiation with vendors

  • Prepare Goal and Negotiation reports and secure alignment and approval

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (including Fab Engineering, Finance, and Samsung HQ Procurement) to align needs of ultimate customer are captured in all contract negotiation

  • Participate in setting strategy and achieving business goals in annual service contract agreement negotiations, including selection of appropriate service contract type; service contract service level coverage; performance based indices (when appropriate); and service quality improvement

  • Coordinate with Finance and Legal directly to ensure service contract goals are met, as well as mitigate risk and ensure compliance

  • Communicate negotiation strategy and results clearly through detailed report writing

  • Track/manage KPIs, compile executive reports, and support overall vendor grading/management and improvement activities

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years in service contract negotiations, specifically sole source.

  • 4+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management (Semiconductor experience a plus).

  • CPM, CPSM or CPIM certification a plus.

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system preferred.

The current base salary range for this role is between $65,000 - $107,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
