JOB TITLE: Buyer

PAY RATE: $36-40/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (6 months with potential for extension)

• Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. (Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite and 2 days offsite based on business need.)

Summary: 

• Sources and procures materials, equipment, and services from approved vendors.

• Evaluates supplier capabilities, pricing, and performance to ensure best value or lowest price technically acceptable.

• Analyzes vendor quotes, proposals, and service offerings to identify cost-effective and compliant solutions.

• Negotiates pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal value.

• Monitors supplier performance and resolves issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing.

• Ensures procurement activities comply with government regulations including FAR and DFARS.

• Maintains supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

• Follows established procurement procedures and internal controls for compliance.

• Maintains procurement records and documentation for audit readiness.

• Supports sourcing and purchasing activities under general supervision with defined guidelines.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.

• Working knowledge of government procurement regulations including FAR and DFARS.

• Experience sourcing and procuring materials, equipment, and services.

• Experience analyzing vendor quotes and proposals to select compliant solutions.

• Experience negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.

• Experience monitoring supplier performance and resolving delivery, quality, or pricing issues.

• Experience ensuring procurement activities follow established procedures and compliance standards.

• Ability to follow established processes and operate effectively under supervision.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
