Position Summary

The Food Transporter transports food from the meal preparation site to the meal serving site(s). This includes loading/unloading carriers and placing them in the serving position at the satellite site.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food prepared at the Senior Dining cooking site to other Senior Dining locations.
• Load food carriers and supplies into the delivery vehicle, verifying correct quantities of all items before departure.
• Deliver and unload food carriers at satellite dining site(s) and assist with setting up for meal service.
• Return used food carriers and supplies to the original Senior Dining site following meal service.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store all food carriers and related equipment daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of transportation and storage areas.
• Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and safe driving practices.
• Report vehicle, equipment, or delivery issues promptly to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: A diploma is not required.
• Job Related Experience: No specific experience is required.
• Additional Requirement: A current driver's license is required, and personal auto insurance must meet state minimum.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach frequently throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions while loading and unloading deliveries.
