Summary/Objective:
The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitation
programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.
Essential Functions:

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient
care.
Work Environment:
This position works in the patient physical therapy clinic an
outpatient/rehabilitation setting.
Job Responsibilities Related
to Patient Privacy:
Expected to protect the
privacy of all patient information in accordance with the Company s privacy
policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and
in accordance with general principles of professionalism as a health care
provider. Failure to comply with the Company s policies and procedures on
patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including
termination of employment.
May access protected
health information and other patient information only to the extent that is
necessary to complete job duties. May only share such information with those
who have a need to know specific patient information in order to complete job
responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Company operations.
Encouraged and expected
to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the
Company s policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices
in violation of that policy to the designated Privacy Officer.
Expected to actively
participate in Company privacy training.
Required to communicate
privacy policy information to coworkers, students, patients and others in
accordance with Company policy.

federal and state regulations.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of
those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential
functions of this job. The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves
continually during working hours. The position is subject to lifting objects
weighing over 50 pounds, pushing wheel chairs, and transporting and supporting
residents. The employee must be constantly alert for resident safety.

Required Education and Experience
Degree
in Physical Therapy.
Preferred Education and Experience
Continuing
Education courses.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must hold active license or plan to test in the near future
to hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend to
work.
