What We Do:
Camp Woodcraft, one of California's original and most inclusive camp programs, serves as a year-round outdoor education and retreat center in Big Bear. From science-based school retreats, summer sleepaway camp, and wellness retreats to family camps and community gatherings, we provide immersive opportunities for young people to connect, learn, and grow in nature.

Role Overview:
Cabin Leaders play a key role in creating a safe, fun, and supportive camp experience for campers. This position focuses on camper development by fostering social skills, responsibility, confidence, leadership, and positive communal living. Cabin Leaders are responsible for the daily care, supervision, and well-being of campers, while serving as positive role models who follow and reinforce camp policies, routines, and expectations.
In this role, Cabin Leaders actively participate in planning and leading camp programs and activities, both within their unit and across the entire camp community. They assist in a variety of program areas, help implement schedules and behavior expectations, and support evening programs, special events, and overnights. Cabin Leaders work collaboratively with the camp core team to ensure all safety, health, and emergency procedures are followed, while making sure campers are engaged, supported, and having fun throughout their camp experience.
