The Cabinet Maker (Builder) is responsible for in-shop fabrication, assembly, and quality control of cabinets and components. This role ensures all products are built to specification, on time, and at a high level of quality. The Cabinet Maker also supports field operations when necessary to assist with installations and removals. Experience with a CNC machine is a plus.
Responsibilities
Fabricate and assemble cabinet boxes and components
Operate shop equipment including saws, router, edge bander, power tools, and hand tools
Good knowledge of kitchen cabinet installation and removal
Perform trim fabrication and component construction
Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
Perform quality control checks and sign off on completed builds
Manage sheet goods, lumber, and material inventory
Order approved build materials as needed
Maintain and clean shop equipment and tools
Support overall shop supervision and workflow efficiency
Maintain dust collection systems
Assist with on-site cabinet installations and removals when needed
Qualifications
Experience in cabinet building, woodworking, furniture, or carpentry
Ability to safely operate and maintain shop machinery (routers, saws, edge banders, jigs)
Demonstrates consistent adherence to job site and shop safety protocols, including proper use of tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) while maintaining a safe working environment for self and others
Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods and materials
High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Ability to read measurements, plans, and technical drawings accurately
Experience with material inventory management and ordering
Ability to work efficiently in a production-focused shop environment
