Basic Function To assemble products in accordance with established standards, with emphasis Box Build and more complex mechanical assembly. Responsibilities
Assemble assigned product parts on assembly line in accordance with production guidelines.
Read and understand drawings, travelers, bills of material.
Use measuring tools, crimp tools, wire cutting equipment and stripping machines.
Hand crimping,
Spot tie and continuous lacing.
Heat shrink sleeving and boots.
Solder pins, contacts and solder cups, solder sleeves, bus wire splice.
Pot assemblies as required and clean molds.
Perform spot checks of products to ensure adherence to approved quality standards.
Notify management of product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions.
Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills Oral Communication Skills IPC-610, IPC-620 training Time Management Written Communication Skills Ability to lift up to 10 pounds Reading Skills Physical Dexterity Mechanical skills Figure and Math Aptitude Education/Training Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience Prior assembly experience required.
Cutting cable required for cable assembly
Prepare cable assemblies to include strip cable
Perform rework of cable assemblies
Cut cable to required length
Cutting and trimming for connector/cable assembly
Ensure cable harness meets blue print specifications
Perform manufacturing assembly and installation of cable harnesses
Considered part of the cable department in capacity to provide support to the manufacturing of cable assemblies
Prioritize the cable cut planning and processing area
Utilizing appropriate tools to mount and assemble other components onto cable to include hoods for cable assembly connectors
Insert cable in plastic tubing or inject plastic sealant around terminals to protect cable from dust and moisture
Trim cable Bead press Cable solder machine
Maintain visual inventory of cable roll supply and report
Roll cable and package for shipment using metal banding equipment
Perform cable assembly / fiber optic cable
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
Load proper cable size or spindle, pull cable to desired length and cut, using wire cutting machine, following established procedures
Vary greatly from a small table top unit to a large console
Inject plastic sealant around terminals to protect cable from dust and moisture
Identify wires with use of basic color code sequence
