Cable & Harness Inspector

Nesco Resource is looking for a Cable & Harness Inspector located in Brookfield, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM (OT possible after training cycle)

Pay: $20-$22 Based on Experience

Job Summary: The Cable & Harness Inspector is responsible for performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of cable and harness assemblies to ensure products meet customer and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections of cable and harness assemblies
• Inspect products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards
• Document and report non-conformances and inspection results
• Follow work instructions, travelers, and customer documentation
• Verify workmanship and accuracy throughout the inspection process
• Support production schedules through timely and accurate inspections
• Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement activities
• Identify process issues and recommend improvements
• Work with production and other departments to resolve quality or delivery issues
• Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly maintained
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year experience inspecting cable and harness assemblies or three (3) years assembling cable and harnesses
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods and components
• Familiarity with IPC-A-620 standards (certification a plus)
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and customer specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the day and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to use hand tools, measuring devices, and inspection equipment, including magnification aids
