Cable Inspector - 2nd Shift

JOB TITLE: Cable Inspector - 2nd Shift 
LOCATION: Oldsmar, FL
PAY RATE: $30/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

• Shift:2nd Shift | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM (Mon–Thurs)

• Overtime: Weekend OT Available

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Inspect cable assemblies using established methods, specifications, and quality requirements.

• Perform inspections using precision measuring tools, including:

  • Dial indicators

  • Micrometers

  • Scales

• Accept, reject, or recommend rework for non-conforming products.

• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, parts lists, and work instructions.

• Perform soldered and crimp inspections in accordance with IPC-A-620 standards.

• Monitor product quality using statistical process controls and inspection procedures.

• Communicate with assemblers, technicians, engineers, and management to resolve quality concerns.

• Support assembly-related tasks within assigned inspection areas as needed.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in cable manufacturing and cable inspection.

• Experience with soldered and crimp inspections using IPC-A-620 standards.

• Ability to interpret:

  • Technical drawings

  • Diagrams

  • Parts lists

  • IPC manuals

  • Work instructions

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency with PCs and computer applications.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Must be able to read and write English.

• No degree required.

• Must successfully pass a medical screening exam.

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
