PGS Worldwide is seeking a Cable Inspector in Oldsmar, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on inspecting cable assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. You will work in a production environment supporting critical programs while collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Required Skills

  • Experience with cable manufacturing and inspection processes
  • Experience inspecting soldered and crimped connections to IPC-A-620 standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, parts lists, and work instructions
  • Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and scales
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with personal computers and standard applications
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to pass required medical screening

What You’ll Do

  • Inspect cable assemblies using established methods and specifications
  • Identify and document non-conformances and quality issues
  • Accept, reject, or rework units based on inspection results
  • Use measuring tools to verify product quality and compliance
  • Follow inspection instructions, drawings, and customer specifications
  • Communicate quality issues with assemblers, engineers, and management
  • Perform assembly tasks as needed to support inspection activities
  • Support quality control processes and continuous improvement efforts

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM (overtime on weekends as needed)
