The Panther Group is seeking Cable Inspectors for an exciting opportunity with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Clearwater, FL. If you have experience inspecting cable assemblies, interpreting engineering documentation, and working to IPC-A-620 standards, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of cable assemblies using established inspection procedures and specifications.
  • Inspect soldered and crimped cable assemblies in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, work instructions, and revision-controlled documentation.
  • Utilize inspection tools including micrometers, dial indicators, scales, and other precision measuring equipment.
  • Identify, document, and communicate quality concerns and non-conforming products.
  • Work closely with assemblers, engineers, test technicians, and production teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Verify products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Assist with assembly-related tasks within assigned inspection areas when needed.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
Qualifications Required
  • Previous experience performing cable or wire harness inspections in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience inspecting soldered and crimped cable assemblies.
  • Working knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 inspection standards.
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, vision/medical screening, and U.S. Person verification.
Preferred
  • Aerospace, defense, electronics, or military manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment with revision-controlled documentation.
Pay $19-$28 per hour DOE
