Responsibilities include:Splicing copper and fiber optic cables in indoor and outdoor environmentsInstalling copper and fiber terminals on various cable sizesManaging slack and grounding cables in neat splice casesPerforming mid-sheath splices and assisting with construction lineman dutiesCreating and interpreting splicing schematics and diagramsDocumenting staking sheets and supporting project timelines through inspections and designPerforming assigned cutoversQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent2 years of relevant telecom construction experience preferredSpecialized skills training/certification may be requiredCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have a valid Class C Texas driver's licenseIf relocating to Texas from another state or country, must have a valid driver's license equivalent to a Texas Class C and obtain a Texas license within 30 daysMust maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under HCTC's standard auto insurance policyMust have and maintain, or be able to obtain, a Class A Commercial Driver's LicensePole Climbing Certification (or ability to attain within 6 months of hire) requiredScheduleFull-time, 40 hours per week.
