Job Description Position: Cable Technician
Location: Sofi Stadium, Los Angeles, CA
Pay: $20/hr - $25/hr
Hours: 6 days/week (travel roles); Local roles 5 days/week with every other Saturday required
Duration: 6‐Month Contract‐to‐Hire
Job Description:
AFL is hiring 2 Cable Technicians to support long‐term telecom and stadium infrastructure work at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA. This role supports multiple large projects running concurrently and requires technicians who are comfortable with extensive travel and hands‐on telecom installation work. This is a 6‐month contract‐to‐hire opportunity with the intent to convert to full‐time after the contract period.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with pulling and routing cable across the site
- Help install and mount equipment, antennas, and hardware
- Support basic termination and cable organization
- Support testing and troubleshooting when needed
- Work in active construction environments
Qualifications:
- 6 months of experience as a cable or telecom technician
- Knowledge of:
- Cable pulling and lacing
- Coax, RF, ethernet/cat6
NICE TO HAVE EXPERIENCE:
- DAS experience preferred - "Distributed Antennae Systems"
- Coax, RF, ethernet/ cat6, etc.
- Any exposure to radios, telecom equipment, or field tickets is a bonus
- Must be comfortable with mandatory travel
Travel Structure
- 3‐week rotation standard
- Fly out Monday (full travel day)
- Work 6 days per week
- Fly home the last Friday of rotation
- 2‐week rotation possible around holidays
- Local technicians must work at least one Saturday per rotation
