Structured Cabling Technician – Entry Level

Location: New Albany, OH

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st and 2nd Shift

Overtime: OT and occasional Saturdays may be required

Experience Level: Entry Level

Job Description

We are seeking an Entry‑Level Structured Cabling Technician to support cabling and low‑voltage installation projects in a professional construction environment. This role is ideal for individuals interested in starting a career in structured cabling, telecommunications, or data center operations. The technician will work under the guidance of lead technicians while developing hands‑on skills and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities


+ Pull, dress, and label Cat5e and Cat6 cabling in accordance with TIA/EIA standards


+ Assist with RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations under supervision


+ Perform cable labeling and identification to support accurate documentation


+ Learn and perform basic punch‑down terminations for telecommunications blocks


+ Support cable testing using basic testing tools (Fluke, EXFO) with guidance


+ Gain exposure to fiber‑optic cable handling, dressing, and basic installation practices


+ Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment


+ Take direction from lead technicians, leads, and supervisors to complete daily tasks

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
